The Maiden Voyage
We began our journey to Vernon to pick up our new trailer. We had decided to spend one last night in the tent trailer so we stopped at Lumby. The campsite that was assigned to us was not going to work as there was this big honkin' RV parked at such an angle that we would have been sitting outside almost under their tip out! So we moved over one and then let the office know what we did. As I was walking to the office I passed a gal carrying a frozen turkey. I teased her about what time dinner was ð. As it turned out she had just cancelled the reservation for the site we moved over to so it all worked out.
It's a great campsite for a stopover but not for a long stay. It’s beside a beautiful creek and easy walking distance to stores. There was a family reunion of some sort and the kids were noisy until 10ish. Heard a big diesel truck pull in around 11 but quiet after that once they set up their trailer.
Beta...Power and water
After dinner we went for a stroll around town. Discovered a public swimming pool a couple blocks away....and this piano was just sitting there begging to be played!
We got up bright and early the next morning and here we are at Mike Rosmans RV. I just had to take this pic to show the difference between the old and the new....it’s sooooo much bigger! The thought that went through my mind was...what have we done?! ðĪŠ
By 12:30 our heads spinning we were off. They had helped us make a reservation at this campsite 5 min down the road (and around the corner and across the tracks)
Alpha...Full hookup
This is a resort where folks park for long and short term! It was amazing for our first night in our new tiny home....doesn't look so big now does it?! It was so friggin hot we were very grateful for the air conditioning. Had a nap and then started getting organized. Lots of room, but then we don’t have a lot of stuff either (yet)...
Our first meal....of course we ran out of propane for the portable bbq so we compromised and broke in the stove. Had my first shower and wasn’t impressed with how small it was. And water all over the floor. Will have to work on this one.
Morning view...and coffee...
We gave ourselves lots of time to pack up and dump the gray and black water. Brent says it was quite easy. I can’t believe how nice it was getting ready for the road. Not a whole lot to put away. It was awesome ð
So with time to spare we went for a walk around the resort and saw this heron. I tried to get closer but it didn’t like it

Because Brent isn’t familiar yet with the gas mileage we decided to head home via Kelowna where the gas stations are more frequent. We decided to stop at this rest stop....so cool...got to make lunch and a lay down! This was just before Grand Forks.
