Back to Vernon
So here we are back in Vernon...and it’s the August long weekend 🤪

....we didn’t get the construction noise but we did get woken up at daybreak by two helicopters flying back and forth over a cherry orchard across the highway! The story is they were blowing off the water from the cherries...to be sold in China at $14/lb! Wowzers 😲
....mmmmm...coffee...
I started to play with my camera as the sun was going down. I thought I was doing pretty good...
Because our awning for the tipout hadn’t come in when we picked up our tiny home we needed to return to have it installed. We also ordered a ladder for the back. We drove over on the Friday taking our time. The traffic was quite heavy going the opposite direction....so many other tiny homes! We're thinking...Kaslo Jazz Fest...
It was so cool to grab some lunch out of the fridge when we were on the ferry...another passenger tried to guilt me into sharing...nice try buddy
So this is where we stayed two nights in Vernon

#71 .... Brent has really got this backing in thing dialed 😘
We didn’t put out the awning because the spots were so tight (and you can hear the neighbor snoring) but then the trees were shading us pretty good. The campground was really close to Mike Rosmans RV...like right across the road. We thought how easy can this be? Well the highway is soooo busy plus there is major construction going on. We chose to turn right and wrap around at the mall (which was 5 min away). Leaving was a bit further as we had to go all the way up to the junction to Kamloops before turning back.
Campers were grumbling about the noise from the highway construction which was happening during the night. I was not surprised to see so many campers packing up Sunday morning.

We arrived early for our 8 am appt at the RV dealer to find that the awning was not the right size. They did try and phone us but we were already well on our way plus the campground was non refundable. At least the ladder came in...we would have been some choked if it didn’t. We drop the trailer and headed off to Canadian Tire. After two hrs of shopping there we needed a measurement for a tool we thought we could buy so scooted back to the dealer to get it. They hadn’t even started the work on our trailer! Good thing we were early 🤨
Back we go to more shopping. By lunchtime we are so done. Stopped for lunch at Dominos pizza which was surprisingly good. Or we were really hungry. We head back and found Tory just finishing up the ladder install and he hadn’t started on our little fixes we needed done. By the time we settled our bill I was starting to get grumpy...
....finally...a much needed nap...
I started to play with my camera as the sun was going down. I thought I was doing pretty good...
....and then I met the “snorer” neighbor who turns out to be a professional concert photographer...so I picked his brains...
problem was he talked so fast and he didn’t understand the 30 second rule (that’s how fast I forget!)
Headed home early on Sunday got home around 3:30 Brent likes to drive at a comfort speed.....like the ferry 😉
