My Birthday

This year I asked that we go camping in Osoyoos. It is crazy busy and hot in the summer so this is the perfect time.
This campground is huge! I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like at high season!

Right on the edge of the water!

Lots of room around the spots

Of course Brent tried to make friends with the locals

Location is very central to Keremeos and Penticton. We went exploring the first day to Mt. Baldy and saw lots of cows and horses without borders...so to speak. Stopped at one winery. View was spectacular!

Next day we got serious about the hunting and gathering 😉

10 lbs onions, 100 lbs tomatoes, 20 lbs peppers (one bag red, one bag mixed green and banana), cayenne peppers, 10 lbs peaches, 10 lbs spaghetti squash, 20 lbs pears, 20 lbs apples, and a watermelon! All for $120!

Nightscape was beautiful. Evening before was a wicked lightning storm and heavy rain. Nice for it to stop long enough to have fun...

Today we explored Naramata. OMG! There are so many wineries and distilleries our heads were spinning. We stopped at this one and I really loved their wines...can’t be because of the name? 🥴

...on the way back we tried to find a spot for lunch...each place had breathtaking views!

Finally found one that served tapas which were so good I forgot to take pics! There were shrimp in a very nice spicy sauce, clams with white beans (first time for me...the beans that is), little fishies that still had their eyes and innards (shudder), Caesar salad, and ceviche...

We also fit in a distillery in Osoyoos that Brent really liked. Will try and take pics of what he got!

What a great birthday weekend!
